Scheduling Legislative Visits March 16 - March 18

JRLC goal: for advocates to participate in legislative visits between Wednesday, March 16 and Friday, March 18, virtually or in-person at your congregation or a community center. Some meetings will need to be scheduled outside these times, due to the lawmaker’s or advocates schedule.

To identify your legislators go to

Meeting virtually or in person. Some congregations, particularly in the metro area, may choose to invite their legislators to in-person, evening meetings at their congregation or a community center, continuing to follow public health recommendations.

If you are a JRLC District Leader or you are willing to schedule and facilitate a legislative visit, schedule your lawmaker visits between Wednesday, March 16 and Friday, March 18.

Work with the Legislative Assistant. To schedule a legislative visit email the Legislative Assistant, in addition to your lawmakers. You will find the Legislative Assistant (LA) contact information on the profile page of your Representative or Senator. The emails for the Legislative Assistants follows this format [email protected] or [email protected].

Participate in Trainings. The trainings listed above are developed and offered to help you reach out to others in your congregation and community; and to prepare you for legislative visits, strengthening your confidence, knowledge and tools for effective meetings with your lawmakers and advocates.
