Joint Religious Education and Research Fund (JRERF)
JRERF supports interfaith policy research and public education to further the cause of social justice in Minnesota. Very few institutions in our public life bring together the latest research from the social sciences with centuries-old religious teachings. JRERF does just that.
Formed in 1982 to support the non-lobbying activities of the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition, JRERF supports policy research, public education, conferences, internships, and fellowships to further interfaith relations and social justice in Minnesota.
Influential work on criminal justice, health care, taxation, metro development, poverty reduction, hate crimes, agriculture and rural life, human rights, ethics in government, affordable housing, Native American rights, ecology, and judicial reform have been made possible because of gifts to the JRERF.
JRERF often supports the work of undergraduate and graduate students who do internships in the JRLC office. It is one way we help develop the next generation of interfaith civic leaders.
Minnesota's civic climate is strengthened by this important cooperative, interfaith organization.
JRERF is a Minnesota non-profit, 501 (c) (3), charitable corporation. Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, and Islamic leaders affiliated with the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition (JRLC) serve as corporate directors of JRERF.
Donations to JRERF are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
We welcome both general operating donations and legacy gifts for the JRERF endowment fund. Please consider JRERF in your estate planning. Our legal name is: Joint Religious Education and Research Fund.
