Housing vigils abound
In the past few weeks, JRLC has been coordinating interfaith vigils across the state in support of affordable housing. In particular, vigils in St Paul and Moorhead have gotten attention.

With the state bonding bill still awaiting consensus, JRLC is still encouraging advocates to call their legislators and asking them to pass the bonding bill with $36 million allocated to affordable housing. One way many are doing this is to hold a vigil for affordable housing, remembering Isaiah 32:18: "My people will abide in peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places."

If you are interested in hosting a vigil of your own, contact Alison. A sample liturgy for the affordable housing vigil can be downloaded on the Advocacy Resources page.
