General Assistance Medical Care will be eliminated in March, 2010, jeopardizing the health of 35,000 very poor or indigent Minnesotans. The legislature and the Governor and the citizens of Minnesota need to do some serious problem-solving so that the issue can be resolved early in the 2010 legislative session.
JRLC's health care position rests on the principle that every human being has a moral and civil right to health care and that only community structures can uphold the dignity and rights of our fellow human beings.
