This Monday!! Invest in Minnesota at the Capitol: Come to a rally in support of a balanced approach to the state's budget shortfall on Monday May 11th in the Capitol Rotunda.  Join us at 12 noon to demonstrate your support, get inspired by our speakers, and be a part of coordinated action to deliver our message to legislators and the Governor. We need a balanced approach to the state's budget shortfalls including new revenues, raised fairly so we don’t have to make inhumane cuts to health care and other critical services.

Put Someone You Know on the Map: 
 JRLC is promoting this interactive map created by the Affirmative Options, a coalition of organizations dedicated to promoting economic security, as an easy way for you to get your voice heard.

Write a sentence or two about someone you know who relies on Minnesota’s health and human services network – an elderly relative in a nursing home, a family member who must contend with a mental illness, a neighbor with a disability, a friend who is unemployed, someone you care about who has had to turn to MFIP. 

We want to fill that map with thousands of Minnesota stories – to remind legislators that the decisions they are making are not about numbers on a page but about people we care about – about us all.
