The Governor's veto and unallotment decisions have eliminated health insurance coverage for Minnesota's poorest and neediest people. The health insurance program known as General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC) will run out of money in March 2010. Many GAMC enrollees are homeless, disabled, or suffer from mental illness. Why are we picking on these folks to be the first to receive the brunt of health care rationing?

What kind of people are we that we abandon the weak and disabled? I fear that people will die if we don't arrange our tax and heath care dollars differently. Governor, isn't this worth a special session?
